About data we use for plotting percentiles
For plotting weight, height and BMI percentiles from birth to 5 years, we use data provided by The World Health Organization
Data from 5 to 20 years comes from Center for Disease Control and Prevention CDC
Prenatal data for estimated fetal weight percentiles come from article: The World Health Organization fetal growth charts: concept, findings, interpretation, and application
Height charts present discontinuity between 730 and 731 days, as the measurement changes from recumbent length to standing height at the age of two years.
If a child aged less than 2 years is measured standing up, change the height to length by adding 0.7 cm. For children 2 to 5 years measured lying down, convert length to height by subtracting 0.7 cm
We assume that 1 month = 30.4375 days
The formula for BMI is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared.
